COPE SEPB Region 1 – Quebec – The Canadian Office and Professional Employees Union

Region 1 SEPB-Quebec is a union organization composed of 12 local unions comprising some 15,000 members, which are mostly office, technical and professional employees.

Québec’s first local union, Local 57, was founded in Montréal in 1945 as an affiliate of the Fédération des travailleurs et travailleuses du Québec (FTQ).

The goals of SEPB-Quebec and its local unions are the study, safeguard and development of the social, cultural, educational and economic interests of its members, particularly in regards to the negotiation and application of collective agreements.

The role of SEPB-Quebec is to promote pay equity, access to equality for women and improve the living conditions of workers.

Regardless of the sector we come from, our dynamism and strength are put to use to form a proud and combative union.

It is important to remember that our union is made up of 75% women, and that our union’s approach to defend your rights and interests is human and understanding.
