Sunday: Final day of convention to feature anti-racism talk, and election of union officers

The final day of the 2019 COPE /SEPB Convention will continue our trend of strong, passionate speakers with Sunday’s featured presentation to be the Canadian Equity Council Report and Presentation on Islamophobia delivered by Mojdeh Cox from the Canadian Labour Congress.

As the National Director of Anti-Racism and Human Rights at the Canadian Labour Congress, Ms. Cox is an incredible advocate for labour and human rights. She has won numerous awards for her work in delivering community-based adult education working with marginalized communities. She has also provided high-level anti-oppression training for businesses, non-profits, and governments. Her work has been designed to tackle the issue of discrimination at its core, and she has designed and led many national initiatives on anti-racism and human rights. The final order of business today will also feature the election and installation of officers.
